The Come Thou Fount Collection: Coming Wednesday

Hello, friends! I have a brand new art collection to share with you!

 

 

The Come Thou Fount Collection is my nod to Autumn. I love this time of year – the changing colors, the cool breezes, the anticipation of the coming holidays. There are so many things to be thankful for.

 

I don’t really do “spooky”, so my autumn collection mainly consists of coziness and warm colors. I did decide to include an illustration of the Balrog scene in Lord of Rings (“YOU CANNOT PASS! GO BACK TO THE SHADOW!” -Gandalf) – so that’s my one spooky piece of the year. I also thought it entirely necessary to include an Illuminated Author Portrait of Edgar Allan Poe – because I do love the occasional eerie story and Poe is about as dark as I’ll go. His stories are so fun to read in October! You’ll also see an autumnal LM Montgomery study, an illuminated LM Montgomery Portrait (her books are just great to read in the fall as well), Hagrid’s Hut (featuring the cutest pumpkin head scarecrow), an illuminated Come Thou Fount, and a very autumnal feeling desk scene with a quote from GK Chesterton’s Orthodoxy.

 

My favorite painting in this collection is “Ecce Agnus Dei”. Perhaps not super autumnal, but relishing in the hope and glory of our beloved Savior puts me in a thankful mood. Of everything to be thankful for this season, His sacrifice is the most precious.

In addition to the new art prints, I will also be selling a wide range of Original Paintings. My original paintings are done on muslin fabric in acrylics and india ink. The edges are raw and they measure about 8.5×11 (sizes can vary though). Buying original art is one of the sweetest ways to support artists, so I hope you’ll take a look at my offerings on Wednesday! I’ll have some from this collection, as well as some from previous collections I’ve released this past year.
