GENERAL BLANKET INFO
I sell my blankets in pre-order sales and/or ready-to-ship blanket drops. The dates and times of these drops are announced on my blog, newsletter, and instagram account. For each blanket drop I usually open up a few slots for custom blankets. Ready-to-ship and custom blankets generally sell out pretty fast, so I highly recommend setting an alarm and getting onto the site right at the specified time.
A little about my blankets:
The front of my book blankets are adorned with my uniquely designed literary paintings that have been digitally printed onto fabric. I use a variety of backings for my blankets, including flannel, minky dot, faux fur, and velvet. I sew the two pieces of fabric together with my sewing machine. My blankets are not quilts, so there is no inner batting layer or stitching over the top. The blankets are top-stitched around the edges to create a finished look. The Regular Throw size has a cotton top. The Oversized Throw size has a minky top. The color/pattern of the backing fabrics vary with each blanket drop. If you have a specific request for backing fabric, or have any questions about the fabric in general, please message me! I may be able to accommodate requests but it largely depends on what my fabric supplier has in stock at the time of the drop/your order.
Please note: My artwork is hand-painted.
SIZES
Quilt blankets comes in three sizes:
Child – 54″ by 36″, a smaller blanket perfect for little ones. MINKY TOP
Original Throw – 40″ by 70″, the perfect size to throw over your couch or reading chair. Also great for traveling. Lighter weight than the Oversized. COTTON TOP.
Oversized Throw – 54″ by 70″, the perfect size for sharing. MINKY TOP.
For size reference: This blanket can lay flat on a queen size bed with none of the blanket edges going off the bed. It is NOT bed spread size, it is simply a large throw blanket.
***Measurements are approximate and can vary based on patterning.
blanket backings
explained

FLANNEL
Flannel is a soft woven fabric with a napped surface. This is a lightweight backing option. Blankets with flannel backing are perfect for the summer months or if you live in a warm climate. Flannel backings come only in the original throw size blanket.

MINKY
(DOT AND CUDDLE)
Minky is a plush microfiber knitted fabric with a smooth, velvety texture similar to velour. This backing is thicker than the flannel. Minky dot (pictured) has dimples across the length fabric, and minky cuddle is flat. Minky backed blankets are an in-between blanket option – good for fall, warm winter climates, or warm-blooded people who don’t want to be too bogged down by a heavy blanket.

FAUX FUR
Faux fur is a high pile polyester fabric. It is plush and has a soft hand. I use two types of faux fur: minky fur which is velvety and soft, and sherpa fur, which is warmer, thicker, and less silky feeling. Fur backed blankets are great for winter and cold weather.

VELVET
Velvet is a woven fabric with a short, dense pile and a soft, smooth feel. This backing makes for a luxurious blanket with a beautiful drape. It is not as warm as fur, but equal in weight to the minky backings.
